'No problem with our dad being our manager' – Lali X Lola

Ghanaian music duo Lali X Lola have defended their father against critics who question why he is often seen accompanying them to events and industry engagements.

According to the sisters, their father is not only their parent but also their manager, making his presence around them part of his responsibilities.

Speaking in an interview on Showbiz 360 on September 28, 2026, Lali X Lola said they do not understand why some people, particularly men, question their father's decision to accompany them.

“The people who always ask why our dad always follows us, I don’t understand why they ask that. Any artiste who has a manager will follow them anywhere they go. Is it that they have bad intentions? " Because most of them are men,” they said.

The sisters explained that having their father as their manager gives them a sense of security as they navigate the entertainment industry.

They said he often notices things they may overlook and deliberately shields them from certain experiences that could negatively affect their careers.

“Our dad is our manager and for us, we’re blessed to even have him as our manager because he sees things that we might not see. He creates a bubble for us not to encounter certain things in the industry,” they shared.

Lali X Lola also revealed that they have given their father the nickname “Mr Beast” because of how protective he is of them.

The duo suggested that rather than viewing their father's constant presence as unusual, people should understand that he is simply fulfilling his role as their manager while also protecting his daughters as they build their careers in the music industry.

“We call our dad Mr Beast because if you play with his princesses, he will come at you,” they added.
