Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale has spoken about the misfortune which happened at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 1 when this year’s S Concert went down.
The outspoken musician in an interview with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM said the show was “on me, it was on my shoulders”.
Speaking on why he did not perform last which made Samini walk out of the venue after waiting for almost four hours, Wale stated that organisers told him he would mount the stage at 1 AM so he wanted to go by that time hence his decision to perform before Samini.
He again disclosed that he had a show at Swedru the following day so he could not wait to perform last else he would close from S concert at 7 AM Saturday which would affect his performance at the Swedru event.
The ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker further explained why he posted on Facebook that live band is not good for the current generation. He refuted claims that his comment on the live band issue was directed at his arch-rival, Samini.
