Shatta Wale addresses Sammy Flex fallout rumours

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has dismissed rumours of a fallout with his manager and publicist, Sammy Baah Flex, insisting that their working relationship remains intact despite recent public events.

Some speculations emerged after Shatta Wale criticised Sammy Flex and his team following the cancellation of ShattaFest UK. He accused the team of failing to generate income for the camp and instead using his platform to attack rival Stonebwoy.

In the aftermath, rumours circulated that Sammy Flex is planning to exit the Shatta Movement camp due to what has been described as constant criticism.

However, dismissing the rumours, Shatta Wale shared a clip from a previous interview on ‘The Bonah Show’ via his Facebook account, where he explained the unique bond he shares with Sammy Flex

"I don't want to be in a space where I and Sammy work together but we are not talking. We can have a disagreement right now and I can bash him. But the next five minutes I can call him and be like, 'I'm craving fufu, let's go and eat,'" he said.

The dancehall star said Sammy Flex understands his personality and gives him the freedom to express his creativity, unlike some of his former managers.

"He understands me and accepts me as I am. Because the level at which I reason is different. I think in a different world and he gives me the chance to flow. We are creatives," he explained.

Shatta Wale added that a manager who tries to control every aspect of an artiste's life is unlikely to succeed.

"If he comes like, 'You have to do this and this,' it won't work. That is why most artistes have problems with their manager," he said.

He later mocked the rumours in a social media post, making it clear that there is no bad blood between them.

"Foolish people saying me and Sammy Flex get beef. Villagers who don't know what work is... Nponkye," he wrote.
