Shatta Wale fires back at critics doubting Sarkodie's O2 Arena concert

Dancehall star Shatta Wale has blasted Ghanaians who are skeptical about Sarkodie’s plans to fill the O2 Arena in his upcoming 2027 concert.

In a post on X on March 13, 2026, Shatta expressed frustration at what he described as a troubling habit of Ghanaians undermining their own artistes.

"Your own country artiste deh go play en concert, u deh Ghana deh doubt if he can fill the venue or not. Chale dem look down on Ghana artiste ch333 oooo," he wrote in English mixed with pidgin.

The Rapperholic event at the 02 Arena, which is scheduled for March 6, 2027, has been the buzz on social media since Sarkodie's successful event at the Royal Albert Hall.

Shatta Wale, who has also headlined major concerts across Africa is planning a UK event. He has urged Ghanaians to support their own artistes rather than tearing them down.
