Universally, February 14 of every year is recognized as a special day set aside for the expression of "Love". Over the years, many-a-people have had misconceptions and misinterpretations for the whole idea.

The story was however changed when World Music Artist Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah better known as "AKWABOAH" in show business put up a spectacular show at the maiden event of his proposed annual Valentines day event dubbed "AKWABOAH UNPLUGGED". The event was organised through a collaborative effort between Africa 1 media, (Management representatives for Akwaboah) and Sarkcess Music, the record label on which Akwaboah is a signee.

The event, was held at Ghana's leading name in nightlife experience, Twist and was hosted by celebrity master of ceremony, broadcaster and fashion mogul, KOD of Live FM.

As anticipated, the event attracted the crem-de la-crem of Ghanaian personalities including top government officials, business owners as-well-as the industry shot-callers in addition to the couples who graced the occasion to celebrate love in the grandest and most relaxed environment. Also in attendance was the CEO of Africa 1 media, Cynthia Quarcoo, Country manager for Ghana, Benny Ashun Jnr and Client Services Manager, Yaw Sarpong-Kumankuma.

The artists on the bill included Sarkodie, arguably Ghana's biggest music export. Also in attendance to support Akwaboah were Becca, Efya, Afriyie, Adina, Kofi Kinaata, Sena Dagadu, Knii Lante, Sorakiss, Ink, Poet Timmy with support from Philip Acquah and the Patchbay Band.

The show started with the Patchbay Band treating the audience to soothing love songs from the 80's to 90's. It then continued with a poetry performance by Poet Timmy followed by Ink. The performances continued with Knii Lante, Sena dagadu, with a surprise entry by the owner of the show, Akwaboah. He started his performance and introduced his friends one after the other beginning with Sorakiss, Efya, Afriyie, Becca, Adina, Kofi Kinaata.

As though the show had closed, the Patchbay Band kicked off Akwaboah's latest hit "Hello" which the audience sang to, verbatim. Surprisingly, Sarkodie suddenly appeared on the floor with Akwaboah to perform his rap verse on the song to a screaming and chanting audience. They further performed together other collaborations like "Nobody's Business" and others from Sarkodie's "Mary" album which Akwaboah co-wrote and co-produced.

After Sarkodie and Akwaboah's performance came King of Ghanaian comedy, DKB with a short but funny speech to close the show together with KOD.
