Stonebwoy
Stonebwoy has clinched the prestigious 'Artiste of the Year' award at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center.
The acclaimed dancehall and reggae artiste faced stiff competition from fellow nominees Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Nacee, and Sarkodie.
Despite the formidable lineup, Stonebwoy's contributions to music earned him the coveted title.
In addition to the 'Artiste of the Year' award, Stonebwoy took home five other accolades, including Best International Collaboration, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, and Best Dancehall Artiste.
Surrounded by friends and family, he expressed his appreciation upon receiving the award.
TGMA 2024
The TGMA was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, 2024, where musicians were awarded for their works over the past year.
In March 2024, the Ghana Music Award Academy Board announced the nominees for the 25th TGMA, featuring categories such as Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.
The Ghana Music Academy Board is composed of professionals from all sectors of the music industry, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers, ensuring a diverse and well-rounded judging panel.
