TV Presenter, Amanda Jissih has debunked claims that Janet Bandu, the lady gone missing with Castro, popular Ghanaian hip-life musician, after they both drowned at Ada last weekend, is an evil spirit.
Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe and Janet went missing on Sunday July 6, 2014, after reportedly drowning in the Volta River at Ada where they were partying with some friends including Black Stars’ Captain, Asamoah Gyan.
Subsequent reports after the incident said spiritualists who claimed to be agents of a ‘mermaid’ said Castro was still alive and that he had been adopted by the mermaid.
Janet was speculated as being an ‘evil spirit’ from the marine world.
However, Amanda has described how people are handling the sad situation as ‘unfortunate’.
“Still searching for Castro and Janet... I don’t know her personally but I think she is human like you and I. I am a woman and can imagine what her mother and family might be going through. Enough of the blame…were you there when it happened? Some calling her evil spirit and all... It’s not fair. I pray to God to wipe the tears of her family and friends and that of Castro too. So still, no trace? This is strange and sad but still there’s God,” Amanda said on instagram.
