Have you ever pondered on that popular and romantic quote which states, there is someone out there for everyone; and when you meet that person, sometimes you know right away they are your soul mate.

Well whether you do believe in romantic ideals or not, personal experiences might make one look at the concept of soul mate favourably or not.

Urban Dictionary defines soul mate as a person with whom you have an immediate connection the moment you meet - a connection so strong that you are drawn to them in a way you have never experienced before.

As this connection develops over time, you experience a love so deep, strong and complex, that you begin to doubt that you have ever truly loved anyone prior.

However some do not believe in this theory of love among the about millions of people in the world, there is only one person designed and created for every individual person.

Those who believe in the concept of soul mate support the view of Aristophanes who tells Socrates that human beings used to have four arms, four legs, and two faces, and they were happy and complete. But Zeus was jealous and split them in two with his thunderbolt, and now humans spend their lives searching for their other half.

The believers of this concept share that one’s soul mate understands and connects in every way and on every level, bringing a sense of peace, calmness and happiness.

When not around the soul mate, all that is left is the bleakness of life underlying the importance of how bonding with another person grants satisfaction.

Others who do not share in this love theory hold that there cannot be one perfect person destined to meet all the high expectations of either man or woman; for love is nurtured and grows as one cannot know the individual spiritually and emotionally just by one glance.

The question is, do you believe you have or will meet your soul mate?
