We can’t play your songs after you insulted Kwame Despite – Abena Moet fumes at Shatta Wale

Co-host of Entertainment Ghana on Neat FM, Abena Moet, on Monday, September 30, 2024, fiercely resisted attempts by the program's lead host, Ola Michael, to play Shatta Wale’s latest song as requested by a listener.

While Ola initially agreed to the listener's request, Abena Moet firmly opposed the airing of Shatta’s song on the basis of him having disrespected the owner of the Despite Media conglomerate, Kwame Osei ‘Despite’.

“He (Ola) is not the only one who can forgive; all of us have not forgiven him. So, I don’t know how he will play the song; maybe he will play it in his car after closing from here. No, you can’t insult the owner of the station and expect us to play your song here… He should build his own station and play it there,” she fumed.

Sometime in October 2023, Shatta Wale launched a scathing attack on Akwasi Aboagye and the owners of Despite Media after the presenter (Aboagye) had challenged a claim by the artiste that he was paid 80,000 pounds for performing at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2023 as false.

Since his outbursts and use of unprintable words on the owners and employees of Despite Media, the artiste has been blacklisted on the platform.
