Shatta Wale disassociates himself from fraud claims
Award-winning dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has publicly denied allegations linking him to fraudulent activities.
During his performance at the BYK Concert held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2025, Shatta Wale paused to address the allegations head-on.
While performing his hit song 'Prove You Wrong', the musician insisted that his success is the result of hard work, music, and consistency, not illegal dealings.
“Me, Shatta Wale, I don’t do fraud!. I don’t do anything illegal. So anything you will do, I stand before God and curse you out,” he declared.

He emphasised the message in the song’s lyrics, which highlight his determination to always prove his critics wrong, using them as a direct response to the allegations.
His comments come amid growing social media conversations linking the dancehall artiste to alleged fraud cases, following recent arrests by the FBI and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) involving individuals accused of online fraud and romance scams.
