'We dated for ten years' - Janet Ackom shares chilling experience of her relationship with the late Super OD

Ghanaian actress Janet Ackom shared her past romantic involvement with the late celebrated actor Asonaba Kwaku Darko, popularly known as Super OD.

During her conversation with Akosua High Tension on the Atinka FM's Efisem program, she recounted her decade-long relationship with Super OD, offering a glimpse into their deep connection.

Fondly referred to as Mama Jane, she confided that their first encounter took an unexpected turn when Super OD, unbeknownst to her, spiked her beverage, leading to an encounter she hadn't consented to.

She awoke to find that Super OD had been intimate with her and sternly cautioned her against seeing anyone else, claiming exclusivity over their relationship from that point forward.

Mama Jane admitted, "Yes, Super OD and I were an item for a solid decade. I recall a time when we went to a hotel. At 21, I was quite the looker. I opted for a Fanta, oblivious to the fact that OD had tampered with my drink. I lost consciousness, only to realize later that he had been with me.

"He made it clear that I was to reject advances from other men, particularly our colleagues, threatening physical harm and professional repercussions if I disobeyed," she recounted.

Despite the tumultuous start, Mama Jane acknowledged that her relationship with Super OD positively impacted her life in many respects.

After parting ways with him, she eventually married another man, with whom she shares two children.
