The signing ceremony which almost turned into a major circus, with scores of Shatta Wale fans besieging the premises of the label – also saw the presence of the father and ‘wife’ of the ‘Freedom’ hitmaker.
As expected, Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Zylofon Media, did not divulge the details of the contract but did indicate that, it was a good move that would augur well for the artist, the label and the nation as a whole.
He went on to state that, as part of the label’s responsibilities, they will take the artist to international heights – considering the fact that, aside all his achievements, critics have always hounded Shatta Wale over what they call – his inability to attain international prominence.
“Zylofon will take him global,” Nana Appiah declared!
He also hinted that, people should not encourage competition among Ghanaian artists, especially among acts signed to the label. The competition, according to him, should be waged between artists in Ghana against the world.
On his part, Shatta Wale expressed his delight with the signing and detailed his appreciation and love for Zylofon and promised work effectively with the label.
