What you need to know about VGMA 2019

Finally, the day is here for Music’s biggest night in Ghana.

This year, although artistes rivalry created some buzz around the event, the usual “hype” was not up to the expectation of many.

Some entertainment pundits have blamed it on the lack of money, whereas some have also blamed it on the choice of media partners for the event.

However, this year’s award scheme is one which is unique considering the fact that it is the 20th anniversary of the event.

As a result of the feat attained by the event, there are several introductions for the event.

The most lovely part of the event where Ghanaian movie and music stars display their sense of fashion, “The Red Carpet” will be hosted by TV3’s Giovanni Caleb and Sika Osei. These two are expected to make the “Red Carpet” a memorable one void of the funny question of “Who are you wearing”.

Peace FM’s Kwami Sefa Kayi is expected to pair with GHOne TV’s Berla Mundi to serve patrons of the event of the main event as the main hosts of the event.

As usual, DJ Black takes the announcer role; a role he has handled for several years.

Accra International Conference Centre will host Ghana’s music greats and it promises an exciting night to celebrate Ghanaian music.

Artistes expected to perform on the night include, Medikal, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Samini, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Kwesi Arthur, Kidi.
