WITH THE challenge of taking up new roles in higher capacities as a bait, Pink Fm has been able to woo Takoradi- based top reggae presenter, Fletcher Jannica aka Junior Razza, to help boost the image of the station.

The well known reggae presenter told BEATWAVES that his move to Pink Fm was to afford him the chance to change the face of radio in Ghana.

Countless listeners who have welcomed Junior Razza believe that his presence on Pink Fm will surely pose a threat to certain reggae presenters whose activities on radio has been condemned by all.

They see Razza as the only reggae presenter who could use his programme to champion the cause of the society and also entertain listeners and educate them on issues affecting the society.

Although he is among the best when it comes to delivery on radio, he is among the few who think radio is all about educating the masses and promoting our cultural values.

Disclosing how he was going to do that, Junior Razza said as radio has become very powerful, he was going to use his new position at Pink Fm to push up the sinking image of the Ghanaian culture, effectively link up various categories of people seeking one thing or the other and also use the medium to fight against diseases and social issues, as well as educate the people against acts that seek to undermine the progress of the society.

He also envisaged that his programme, ‘’Rasta Jet’, which would be aired on Wednesdays from 12pm to 3pm; Fridays, 9am to 12pm and Saturdays from 8am to 10pm, would give him the opportunity to interact with listeners, who according to him, would be given the opportunity to contribute to the development of his programme and society.

Junior Razza was of the view that the best-educated person is one whose education helps his people, adding, “If it had been money and prestige I would have stayed on at my previous station. I felt I had learnt so much from my previous stations and so wanted to pick up a bigger challenge.”

He describes himself as a brilliant, young man who is outstanding and outgoing, with a loveable personality.

He owes his success first and foremost to God. Aside that, he believes that hard work and being focused has brought him where he is today.

Junior Razza treats his fans with the love they deserve. His fans, most of whom have become his close friends, truly appreciated him.
