News-one has gathered that Nana Akufo Addo, one of the aspiring candidates for the flagbearership position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is likely to adopt a song titled ‘Aduru Meso’ by Isaac the Showboy of Mentor fame, for his 2012 campaign if he wins the slot.
Sources say Nana is developing some interest in Isaac’s song like he did with Daddy Lumba’s ‘Nana Winner’ hit song. During his Accra tour recently, the campaign team reportedly made extensive use of the song. The reports further indicated that Nana has special dance steps to the rhythm and lyrica of the song which appear to fall in line with his campaign message.
Even though it is not confirmed that he will be using the song as his campaign song, inside sources told News-One there is a wind of friendliness blowing between Nana’s camp and that of Isaac. Hence it will not be a surprise if both camps agree to make use of the song for the campaign period, if things turn out well for Nana.
Efforts to reach Isaac’s manger and producer, Bandex, to deny or confirm the story proved futile. However, if the deal goes through, it would go a long way to exonerate Nana’s relentless efforts and promise to make arts and entertainment a strong pillar of his government when elected President.
