Unfortunately our own members are downplaying our region as not fit for purpose by criticizing the transfer of the judge. What does Justice Atuguba and others take us for? Is it a matter of using us to win elections on NDC's ticket and after that ignore us in the Volta region? We are also human and deserve the best like any region.

For your information the dam is located at the Akwamu part of the River at Akosombo in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The great river starts from Burkina through the north through the East and empties in the Volta Region. Go and get a life you politically blinded fool. The Dormaahene should count himself blessed to be sent to the Volta region to work. There are great sons of daughters from the Volta region serving in all parts of the country including the Bono region where the Dormaahene hails from and so are other Ghanaians serving in other regions which are not their home regions. The defendant rather than going to an appellate court has sent his appeal to the same court that ruled on the matter a year and two months after the judgement.
The lower court that ruled on the matter is entertaining the appeal of the defendant.
It seems that the rules of an appeal is that a person has 21 to 61 days to appeal after which he or she cannot appeal.
An appeal as I am aware is not through the court that passed the judgement, but through an appellate court.

This is dangerous and treacherous. There are several instances of judges being transferred from Accra to Bolga, Accra to Ho, Accra to Wa, Accra to Tamale, etc., and vice-versa. I have come across Judges and Magistrates who have been transferred to villages from big cities because they did not allow themselves to be influenced. This are the machinations the powers be use to get their way. There is a case referred to the supreme Court by Lawyer Sarfo Gyamfi involving a property in Asafo BH114. After 15 years in Kumasi courts, the property was given to the rightful owners. But lawyer Sarfo Gyamfi has taken it to the supreme Court to buy years of time and cause misery for the owners whiles he has no case.
I thought Akuffo Addo was a lawyer who would have brought sanity to the profession.
God help Ghana from the corrupt lawyers and Judges.
I am doing a documentary about this case to shame the corrupt Judicial system in Ghana and why it is not fit for purpose.
I wish the death of the 3 Judges would have reminded them about justice.
