Advice is free and not obligatory. What about he was counselled but he refused to utilize it? The president is stubborn, demonic, foolhardy and primitive so he doesn't listen to anybody and anything. Also, those around him are opportunists and hypocrites who don't want to say anything and lose their positions in the next minute. They are afraid of him because he is vindictive.

One problem is most African old leaders have been a big disappointment.These leaders are already suffering from memory loss,Age-related senile atrophy and many chronic conditions which make them very inefficient yet we keep electing them as leaders,so Africa is not ready to move forward.
We can't compare ourselves to the already developed countries who may go for old men because they've already built solid systems so whether old or Young,it doesn't affect the fortunes of the Nation.
