All that is needed is to built an inland port or dry port with railway lines from the Tema harbour terminating at the port. All containers and bulk cargoes meant for Ashanti and upcountry can then be hauled by trains.

The dredging of sea to Kumasi can be done but not in 8 years. That needs an elaborate plan and 3 governments to implement it in 30 years.

That is why when Ahanti man or woman comes to the south their aim first is to go to the sea and have a feel of it just because they assume that the waves are boiling. Sure you've traveled far and wide, but your pocketbook pales in comparison to the deep pockets of the oil-rich UAE royals who are swimming in trillions of dollars and engaging in real nation-building. Such massive projects call for investments of billions and trillions of dollars, compared to your personal portfolio of hundreds of millions of dollars that will not get any support from Ghana thieving politicians. Kumasi doesn't need a sea, it needs better roads, dependable rail system and better air service, and it can easily accommodate brisk commerce.
