The same way going to church you cannot dress any how. How many hours would you spend in church. You go to church to worship God and to receive scriptural instructions for transformation of life, overcoming lives challenges and relate better to your others.

Besides, people have been judgemental in the media space, but you are still there. People discouraged and mistreated you in school, but you stayed till you completed.

It's a misconception and fallacy to think that, when you don't go to church or worship God in Church, the church loses. No. You the individual lose in the long run.
It's our mandate as a church to uplift each other not for anyone to go astray, but if a few people cause a distraction to you, my advice is to look at the bigger picture, and as another person said on here, remain resolute. But if you think staying away from the gathering makes sense to you, all I can say is that, you will lose in the long run. Complaining about your dressing is only a form of advice because the end product of such indecency is obvious to the matured (not elderly, but matured) person.

In the same vein, remember our lives are supposed to reflect Christ and to cause other unbelievers to want to know more about Christ. So if you bring indecency to the gathering of saints, then you will be encouraging it. So not only are you being distracted, but you are also distracting others.

Christ Jesus himself advised that religious duties be performed PRIVATELY(Matt6.1) and even intimated that public church attendance is hypocrisy (Matt6.5). After all, the likes of Abraham and Lazarus were said to have ascended to heaven(Lk16.19~31) over 2,000 years before Christ Jesus was born, when there were no religions, synagogues, churches or mosques.

However if you dressed in a way that drew men to certain parts of your anatomy best kept out of sight or best not outlined and as a result distracted them in of all places a church then you only have yourself to blame for being narcistic.
In any case if you went to Church to worship God and met hostility (and this happens all the time to many church goers) then either you should have ignored them or moved to another Church. Fellowship with other imperfect children of God is a vital part of the Christian life. You may have to try a few before you find one where you can join and PARTICIPATE in the act of worship. Church folk can often be some of the most judgmental on earth.

If serious attention is given to the reading of the word of God, it will first rebuke the reader before the fellow Christian will. How I wish the former was experienced so that may be one may stop reading the good book given that it’s “judgemental”. At the end of the day, it’s for one’s salvation sake that rebuke comes. Let’s be open to accept in good faith and change for our best interests.
