As the Holy Scriptures put it succinctly:Proverbs 21;9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
Madam Rawlings just make sure that the verse above does not ever apply to you.
Also the same Holy scriptures seem to imply that you cannot make any woman a good wife after you have married her rather you look and find her (see Proverbs 18:22) :He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.
In modern day language we would say that a man looks for a woman who is "MARRIAGE MATERIAL".Now that is a very heavy statement because what a man considers as marriage material will be determined by the values that man holds.
Needless to say the converse is true when a woman is looking for a husband.
High profile individuals will always be subjected rather unfairly to much much higher scruitiny with every aspect of their life under a high-powered electron microscope. Mistakes,Mishaps and Misteps will all be greatly magnified beyond what is reasonable.
Then there is the issue of the families that a person comes from. Will their family members be seen as truly intimidating, interfering, a negative influence? A lot also depends on past history.As the saying goes "Past behavior is often a reliable indicator of future behavior". Most men cherish Peace and tranquility above anything else.They really do. They don't want tumult and stress and angst .Most men want to start a marriage by plotting their own course, their own plans on a fresh clean sheet of paper .They don't want to write on a sheet of paper that some other folk have already cluttered with their own ideas, intentions and plans leaving very little space for a new write up.THAT IS THE CRUX OF THE MATTER Ms RAWLINGS
