It is far far better to marry someone who shares the same Godly values as you do and together you can build your marriage and work together to build your wealth and financial security.Riches or Good looks can be a bonus if the ESSENTIAL MARRIAGE PRESERVING CHARACTER TRAITS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE.
The bedrock of solid, stable, happy marriages are a shared strong belief that marriage is a life-long venture that requires full commitment from both parties.Good marriages just don't happen and just like wealth- both need time patience commitment ,focus ,perseverence, the ability to postpone immediate enjoyment.These are the building blocks of succesful marriages. People who build good marriages learn early in the marriage to save,economize and build for the future.In fact these good character traits should already be in place before marriage is even considered. Don't ever date a man or woman who has no respect for money (i.e those who never budget or economize or who think money grows on trees) Yes it is true that money issues are the number one cause of most marriage breakups but surprise surprise this has nothing to do with poverty but rather how money is handled.Money is a very valuable tool which must be handled carefully and responsibly. Rich people divorce ,perhaps more often than poor people.
When both parties value hard work, value Godly principles,show respect and consideration towards each other, when both are unselfish and learn to be "givers" rather than "takers" or grabbers then such a marriage will not only survive but will thrive both emotionally,spritually and materially.
By the way I don't know of any rich men or women who go out of their way to look for a broke potential spouse especially one laden with debt or one who has an addiction for shopping or one who has no discipline in finacial affairs.The rich who made their money the usual normal way(through years of hard work and discipline) can spot these losers (high maintenace parasites) 10 miles away and avoid them.Marrying such a person is like pouring water into a bucket full of holes- no matter your riches they will eventually deplet you and then leave you.
