Let kwaku Mainoo and his cohort of illiterate Kuffuor praise-singers know that Kuffuor never achieved any 1 cedis to 1 dollar through any effort. Any idiot could have done what he did, and even done better because all they did was to wipe out four zeroes from the old currency, which was 9,200 cedis to the dollar. Removing four zeroes made the exchange rate to become 0.92 cedis (92 pesewas) to one dollar in July 2007. Even with that, Kuffuor could not sustain it for long; by the time Kufuor left power, and is spite of debt forgiveness, the cedi had depreciated to 1.2 cedis to the dollar, a depreciation of 30 percent within a very short period of 18 months. So this Kuffuor nonsense must stop. Kuffour was one of the most corrupt and incompetent presidents in our history; he mismanaged the HIPC windfall of over 4 billion dollars; all he had to show for all the debt forgiveness were toilets scattered in bushes around the country, which he disgracefully and shamelessly labeled, "HIPC Benefit" along with the national colours. Those trying to portray Kuffuor as an exemplary leader should give us a break. They should go tell their story to the marines and brainless NPP supporters who are bereft of knowledge, information, and data on our progress through the years.
