  While we don't know the cause of the veteran actor's stroke we all need to remind ourselves that the commonest cause of stroke is untreated or poorly treated Blood Pressure. The teriible reality is that most Ghanaians with High Blood Pressure either do not even know they have the condition which then puts them in danger of getting a sudden stroke or they know they have High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) but either fail to take medication or do not take it regularly. Some take regular Blood Pressure medications but do not realize that their blood pressure is still not well controlled- these people are also at risk of a stroke.They need to urgently see a doctor to adjust their medications.
  PEOPLE WITH BLOOD PRESSURE SHOULD DO ALL THEY CAN TO LEARN ABOUT THE CONDITION. THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT LEVELS ARE REGARDED AS NORMAL (SAFE) WHEN THEY ARE UNDERGOING TREATMENT AND THEY MUST MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE TAKING THE RIGHT DRUG IN THE RIGHT AMOUNT TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
  PEOPLE WITH BLOOD PRESSURE (BP) MUST GIVE ABSOLUTE PRIORITY TO GETTING A BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR OR MACHINE SO THAT THEY CAN CHECK THEIR BP ON A REGULAR BASIS. THEY MUST ENDEAVOR TO HAVE ROUTINE BLOOD TESTS INCLUDING KIDNEY FUNCTION TESTS DONE ONCE A YEAR AND IF ANY ABNORMILITIES ARE FOUND THESE TESTS MAY NEED TO BE PERFORMED MORE FREQUENTLY. This is one sure way of greatly reducing the risk of serious kidney disease or even kidney (renal) failure ,a preventable disease which continues to devastate the lives of countless Ghanaians

  It’s not only blood pressure (bp) that one need to check , you have to add Sugar level and cholesterol. Make sure you are in the range if not take medication for a while and work on yourself by cutting down much sugar , eno ...

  It’s not only blood pressure (bp) that one need to check , you have to add Sugar level and cholesterol. Make sure you are in the range if not take medication for a while and work on yourself by cutting down much sugar , enough of the meat and take more of fiber, fish,fruit and vegetables in moderation, don’t over stress, don’t skip exercise, above all be kind and considerate and pray without seasoning……
