  No I am not sure it is laziness that results in many of our so-called celebrities spending their latter years in poverty .I say this because many of them got to where thy got to or where they are today because of sheer hard work .BUT AS YOU RIGHTLY SAY IT IS THEIR UNWILLINGNESS OR INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PREPARING FOR THE FUTURETHAT IS IMPOVERISHING MANY OF THEM.
  It is easy to become intoxicated with one's fame and forget that it will not last a lifetime. Complacency then sets in until one day we wake up and realize that we have run out of time.
  This is a problem for everybody who is an adult and not just for celebrities. You see it with professionals and many others in respectable jobs who spend years working very hard but fail to prepare for their own future retirement.
  Preparing well for the future always requires courage, boldness, thinking outside the box and not being afraid of failure or mistakes. THOSE WHO FINISH THE RACE WELL ARE THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND THAT MANNA NEVER DROPS FROM HEAVEN STRAIGHT INTO THEIR MOUTHS. They endure, they persist, they never give up.Bit by bit they prepare. Yes God promises to look after us during our old age. But that is a collaborative effort in which we do our part and God does his part. The ancient Israelites got their manna but they still had to go out of their tents to gather that good stuff. An Israelite still starved if he or she stayed in their tent (in spite of plenty of food (manna) outside .
  God's care for us often starts early in life ,when we cooperate with Him by working very hard studying very hard and learning new skills. Then GOD BLESSES THE WORKS OF OUR HANDS. God does not bless empty hands.
  SO LET'S START PLANNING EARLY. LET'S STOP HIDING OUR HEAD IN THE SAND (LIKE THE OSTRITCHES ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN THEY SEE DANGER , A DIFFICULT CHALLENGE OR SEE WHAT LOOKS LIKE A TERRIFYING SITUATION AHEAD). God is asking you TODAY "What have you got in your hands right now"? That is the key to your future success. Stop looking to others to rescue you. Stop blaming others for your lack of preparation. And don't expect God to bless your ill-gotten or corrupt gains either. Also don't expect God to bless your empty hands- have some skills, have some honest work or something in your hands that He can Bless.
