This isn't about culture, for the while scene is an exhibition of senseless bullying to placate a paramount chief/king, in an attempt to deify a mere mortal wishing to be worshipped. I wonder how those palace feel feel whenever the Asantehene opens his mouth and criticizes others. If the constitution recognizes certain cultural practices, then those enjoying that constitutional recognition should also respect the rights of Ghanaians to express their right to criticize any person in Ghana, including all chiefs, for no person is above reproach in Ghana, not even the President who has authority over the entire country. Using palace power to bully citizens into silence as a way of propping a paramount chief/king isn't a cultural practice, and surely goes against the constitutional rights enjoyed by all persons in Ghana.
