No man or woman should his or her marital experience to pretend to be an expert on marital affairs by making silly claims against an entire group of men or women. If this woman had any sense at all, she would not be on social media running her mouth about her marriage just because she thinks that is her best way of getting back at her ex-husband. I know a number of Christians who have asked their wives to stop office work and take care of the family. I know men who refused and swore NEVER to date or court women who were rich or came from very wealthy background. These men felt that a wealthy woman would be very disrespectful. In one actual case a chap broke up with his fiancee because he felt that her family were very disrespectful towards him because the felt he came from the wrong background or a lower social standing. The irony is that he went on to be very wealthy himself after marrying woman from a completely different part of the world whose family did not have "airs and graces" and together they built their wealth . Maybe he proved his point by marrying a woman who was supportive and treated him with respect.
THAT IS SOMETHING FOR OUR "WEALTHY" AND "SOCIALLY IMPORTANT" WOMEN TO THINK ABOUT.
Changing the focus: No marriage can hope to survive or thrive if both husband and wife fail to prioritize their marriage relationship over that of their relationship with their extended families. We must always be respectful towards our parents and considerate towards other relatives but once we marry our priorities must change and any prudent husband or wife will pay particular attention to this fundamental truth.
This is why it is sometimes advisable not to live too close to extended family or worse still invite them to take residence in your new home or live with them if this is avoidable- THIS COULD LEAD TO DIVIDED LOYALTIES,CONFUSION ABOUT YOUR ROLES IN THE MARRIAGE,CONFLICT ,AND TROUBLE. Young couples starting up must endeavor to set up their OWN HOME if they are to gain their independence and have the privacy that will allow them to safely make the often painful adjustments to each other which all marriages face during the early days. Even where parents help pay for a home for their son or daughter who has just married this should not give them a license to interfere with or seek to control what goes on in their children's marriage. Parents must give the newly weds the space they need to grow together emotionally .

I have seen marriages go bad because one or the other couple didn't know how to separate themselves from their family.

A colleague at work told us about how the sister's marriage collapsed after years of marriage and three children just because the man was still too attached to his family.

I stayed at a compound house years ago and witnessed how the man's family would visit, open the fridge and take things out and eat or drink. Some would even comment that their brother's fridge is nice when in actual fact, it was the woman who bought the fridge and other things in that house. I know this because the man himself told me that his relatives were destroying his marriage and revealed how his previous marriage broke down under similar circumstances.

These and other examples from my hometown informed my decision to clearly let family members know their position relative to my marriage. Nobody should come and trouble me. I suffered before marrying my wife.

Good and supportive women are hard to come by these days. Don't protect her from abusive and envious family members and when she leaves, marry your family members.

I don't play chaskele with mine.
