  Nooo Guys, don't insult Yaa Yeboah. Use the opportunity to provide her some education. It's a fact, that Ghana's economy is driven by cocoa exports, legal mining and tourism. Legal mining here refers to major mining firms and not galamsey that destroys our water bodies.
  Unfortunately, cocoa exports which is a leader in foreign exchange earnings for Ghana has almost collapsed due to poor farm gate pricing leading to smuggling to neighbouring Cote D'Ivoire and Togo.
  Gov't should should just revamp the cocoa sector through value addition so we can rake in the right forex.

  If mining is the cedi's protector and the economy's backbone, why is the cedi struggling against the dollar and the economy taking a nose dive. Ghana has been mining gold for over hundred years and we still beg. Our budget is even supported by donor agencies. So why do you support something which creates problems for you and your entire nation. If you're not greddy yourself then I don't know what you are.
