Massa ,it is the same for MOST Christian songs which are often meaningless repititious phrases that only elevate ourselves rather than God. Praise songs are good but it has become extremely rare to hear songs that encourage people to live in accordance with the commands of the God of Heaven or songs that encourage us to be Light or salt in a Dark world.
And it is the same for sermons preached by the most popular preachers these days .Most sermons seem to centre around how we humans can triumph over our difficulties , benefit from the kindness or largess of God but rarely ever talk about our responsibility to live lives that are pleasing to God or the call of scriptures for us to be caring for the needy and the broken in Spirit and the lost.But then again we are now living in a ME ME ME era where our needs and our desires are elevated way above the vital necessity to live a life pleasing to God. These are truly the end times.
