In 2024 NDC got 51,000 for Akurugu to win whilst Ocquaye got 50,000.Total registered voters for 2024 for the area is 182,000 meaning 80,000 abstained.Dome Kwabenya is a stronghold of NPP so assuming 80% turn up the party can easily win.

There are many ways of punishing a failed government, and one is deliberately not going out to vote, so their abstinence makes no difference, it still paints same picture, they punished u, your own people deliberately refusing to go and vote for u only signifies that, they saw you had failed and was disappointed in you, Bawumia's less than 65% votes in the presidential primaries, is a true reflection of this, it shows that even within the Npp, many were disappointed with the Akufo Addo Bawumia government,but ur empty headedness can never permit u to see and acknowledge such basic facts and will even rather come here to ignorantly try to justify your loss with stupid excuses. Do u think the Npp person who didn't go out to vote, didn't know ur party needed their vote to enable them win? They didn't go just to punish you.

We are busily packing up our legislative body, Parliament, with actors, actresses, jokers, entertainers and rib-cracking funny ones among us.
And is that not dangerous for our country and her development?
Ghana, is now at a crossroads given the high rate of voters who decided to stay home and stayed away from the ballot boxes across the country.
Many have lost complete hope in our ruling-class and we are on a slippery down slope.
Many had high hopes in NPP led President Akuffo Addo, but the President has indelibly failed and disappointed Ghana in view of the level of corruption in these last 8 years of his tenure.
