Marriage is between two people. whatever plan u guys have is your woman u need to discuss with. why do u allow your mum make decision for you? didn't say is bad, but u having a meeting with your pastor, mum makes you look like a child. you can still marry and find admission. i support her if the marriage don't come on in December she shouldn't marry you. your mother will still come into the marriage an make decision for u. u even sound like a mummy's boy

  What I can deduce from the story is that the man is perhaps not financially sound and relies on his mother for help sometimes. On what basis can the mother say that she doesn't want the son to be a burden on her ? Maybe he's not telling the complete story. If he can take care of his wife, then he should go ahead with the marriage.

  If your wife is smart, believe me you're going to have a tough time being her husband and head.
  
  Before we got married, my wife to be and I didn't allow anyone to push us around. Not even pastors. Anyway, I was past 40 years and burning seriously when I got married. That probably explains my zero tolerance attitude towards anyone I saw as an impediment to my marriage plans. Fortunately, I had the support of my fiancée.
