  Mahama the biggest liar..he has ordered for the investigation of the obuasi killing..if Mahama is bold as a man, he should arrest captain smart first..in any civilized country, captain smart will be arrested before any investigation will be started..I think for more than 5 years now, I have been warning Ghana that That idiot captain smart will one day bring violence in Ghana..what captain smart has done, in any serious country, he should have been in prison whiles investigation is ongoing..if the police don’t arrest captain smart now, then I will say this Mahama administration is just one super incompetent administration…I know Mahama is friends with captain smart so as usual, the incompetent Mahama cannot arrest captain smart..#how can u order for the investigation of obuasi killing whiles u cannot arrest the idiots captain smart who incited the violence..I have said it many years that a useless and a corrupt person like captain smart, donkey Kelvin Taylor should be banned from talking on national issues..unfortunately all these idiots belongs to Ndc party..so the super incompetent Ndc cannot hold captain smart accountable..Mahama if u say u are not corrupt and u are a man of Justice, order the police to arrest captain smart now..Ghana should learn from Rwanda, the way some idiots like captain smart talks on radio, it’s very dangerous for the country

  You can’t come and take the daily bread from the owners of the land whiles enriching yourself. Yes! There are a selfish few chiefs getting paid but what about the majority? You can’t make promises of creating jobs and not come through. Pulling a few selfishly chiefs and filling their pockets whiles the rest suffer is not it.
  
  Back to Obuasi. Tempers are high but the South African company AA using Cyanide to “harvest” the gold is dangerous. Do you know that No where in the world is cyanide allowed to be using in mining? So why Ghana? Akufo-Addo was very irresponsible. He should have settled this a long time but instead sends more troops there. As someone who trained and worked at 37, I will tell you this. Those soldiers are not being truthful.

  Indiscipline is the bane of our democracy. This if not checked could be disastrous. Imagine a group of entitled Ghanaians taking arms to take over jubilee house. This is how terrorism starts. Unfortunately, when these entitled hooligans are killed, we forget the bigger picture and threat these actions pose and subject the security agencies to needless bashing.
  If we don't stop these stupid human rights rubbish, the security will one day, decide to do nothing and allow the hooligans to take over.

  It’s a sad incident that shouldn’t have occurred in the first place. I believe soldiers shouldn’t have been sent there in the first place under AA’s government. Tempers are high but I can understand both sides, you can’t have a “treasure” at home yet be hungry, at the same time you can’t take the law into your own hands. Having said that, if the concession they went mining in had been already mined and deserted, what was wrong with allowing the locals to mine it? Secondly, Captain smart spoke the truth and Cyanide destroying Obuasi. The South African company AA using Cyanide to “harvest” the gold is dangerous. No where in the world is cyanide allowed to be using in mining legally by a large company ? So why Ghana? Anglogold Ashanti a South African company knows this so why did our leaders allow them to do that in the first place? Is the typical selfishness of our leaders. With white South Africans history of racism and mistreatment of black people, am not surprised that they are doing this in our country as our leaders look on. As someone who trained and worked at 37, I will tell you this, not all the soldiers are truthful. My fear though is the local people knowing this could happen again will “prepare” and we all know what that means . I pray this issue is resolved ASAP otherwise it will be bloodshed in future and it will not only tarnish our image as a country, but destroy us.

  These incidents are regrettable and unfortunate but they also reveal the ugly truth of local inhabitants deprived of much of the benefits from these extractive industries. That imbalance must be addressed.
