Whatever happened to Kofi Adoma is unfortunate and regrettable but Ghanaians should not blame it on the Dormahene. Despite the fact that Mr Adoma suffered injuries to the eye while filming the festival upon invitation by the Dormahene, this was an accident that shouldn’t not have occurred. The Dormahene might not have been pro active in the care of Kofi Adoma after the incident, he cannot be blamed for the accident. The person who fired the musket should be blamed for the accident. Why fire a musket into a crowd of people? There were many instances where muskets were fired into the crowd during chieftiancy ceremonies and this practice must cease immediately. The firing of muskets into a crowd should be banned . The warriors who fire these muskets must be stationed behind the crowd to avoid any injuries to innocent people if this practice of firing muskets is an ingrained part of the ceremony. But in all fairness, the Dormahene should not be blamed for the unfortunate incident that happened to Kofi Adoma. It was an unfortunate accident.

Those Dormaa people must have been exceptionally negligent. They need some dose of discipline. Why nothing is taken seriously in Ghana is a headache.

Firstly, it was Kofi Adomah who called the Sumamanhene, who is a friend to Kofi, that he wants to film the festival since he (Sumamanhene) was the coordinator for the Kwafie festival in Dormaa. Asked of how much he wanted to charge? Kofi was even shy to say so. Later he dashed the idea that Angel TV wanted to charge 30,000cedis but he wants to also add his compatriot Maghraheb who also charged 10,000cedis. Both were paid and an agreement was reached. Looking at the video that surfaced online, the executioner didn’t deliberately shoot him, but it was rather Kofi who rushed to face the executioner some mini-seconds before he fired the gun. It was just a mere accident and nothing intentional.

You can't blame Dormaahene in this case since Kofi charged for his services and was paid. What happened to him was very unfortunate. It is thus, at the free will of Dormaahene to support him and for this, Kofi needs to pass through the necessary channels and address the issue to Nana Dormaahene and not sit online with his wife and cackle.

Nevertheless, Dormaahene reached out to Kofi Adomah through Sumahene (now deceased) but Kofi was adamant in picking his calls. As a result, they gave Kofi some money initially to treat his eye and keep them updated going forward but Kofi solely wanted Nana Dormaahene to give him a call personally, which I consider a sheer nonsense.

I am not happy to see him go through this pain but Kofi and his wife must know, that are channels to follow if you want to reach out to a CHIEF or need his help.

I get frustrated too when things go awry, at tangent to expectations.
