If she fails to notify her mother, kindly summon a simple meeting between the 3 of you and there inform them that you are done with the stipends henceforth.

Don’t raise any issue about when she is leaving as it will be used against you.
I believe she is prolonging her stay because you have overly pampered her with the money. When the cash flow ceases, she will go back to her husband.

They will try to provoke you but just maintain your calm and let them know you will not provide the funds henceforth

Your wife's behaviour is very unreasonable unless of course there are some other reason that makes her feel that her mother should continue to enjoy your largesse - for example, if intne ady you had lavished money on your own blood relatives. Clearly the situation cannot be allowed to continue unchecked because your mother- in-law will simply feel more and more entitled.
MASSA you really need to sit down and talk to your wife ALONE. PLEASE DO THIS CALMLY. If your wife continues to "act up" then simply stop handing over money to your mother-in-law. JUST STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE AWASH IN CASH.
Right now there are countless well-meaning Ghanaians, especially those living abroad who decided to help a few needy relatives and friends and now find themselves being exploited by heartless and unscrupulous folk back home in Ghana.
