My advice is go close to his family he left behind (be careful not to sleep with his wife) take upon yourself to be the father of his child and support them. Go to his graveyard to plead with his spirit then MOST IMPORTANTLY repent and turn to the Lord Christ Jesus. He alone can forgive sin;not the family or anyone else.

Stop lying. You didn't accidentally kill a person. You colluded with another person to kill someone who was blackmailing both of you, even though your colleague motivated you for self preservation of both of both of you. You have killed someone, which is a grievous sin before the Almighty God. What you are going through is not a solution to your murderous act, but only a reaction.
What you should have done is to have gone to your boss to confess your act and also tell since his friend knew, he has been blackmailing and threatening you. Your boss would be left to make his decision, which a Karma in his favour or against him. The man you murdered was also a vile man. I am sure he would have wished to share out of what you made, so in a way he deserved what you got, but then you shouldn't have agreed to be the killer, though the actual killer is the person that suggested and planned the poisoning.

Now to come to you, the tool to the murder. Know that there is no sin God can not forgive. That's the aspect of God's mercy, if one is prepared to work out the sin. Since you cannot kill yourself to work out the sin, volunteer to train the child of the man you murdered, in fact if you can bring him into your home, the better. This will be better because because bringing his child to your home to train will impose on you both financial and socio-psychological burdens the murdered must have gone through. If it's impossible to bring his child to train, look for another child in an orphanage. And if you can train 2 or more children like that, your sin is being more given. Then comes the wife; since you can't marry the wife because of the complexity of modern societies, devote yourself to help women in widowhood. Then also comes to the case of the parents and family members of the murdered man. You may not be able to cater for them, but you also have to cater for the of aged people. In short, you have to live more a life of sacrifice. It is not by fretting and being morose, downcast and unhappy that you work out the resultant effects of your murderous act, it is by service in action.

The popular idea of just praying for forgiveness by popular Christianity and Islam is an idle idea of bringing temporary relief and postponing the evil day. Karmic sins are not solved by surface prayers.

As for your partner in sin, beware of him. He is probably a worse man than you. He may end killing you also one day. Don't judge him, but be careful of him. He is the real murderer type who gets others to do his dirty work.
