Akans make up about 50% of Ghana. It's not just Akwaaba, most Ghanains understand Twi/Akan words and can make basic Akan expressions even if they can't fuylly speak . That will never happen with Ga.

Extending recognition to them through a simple welcome for those entering the country via their land should not be seen as excessive. If indeed we are one people, such an acknowledgment should not pose any difficulty. No tribe or language is superior to another, and it is only right that due respect is accorded where it is deserved —or else we might as well bring in Weezor at Kumasi International Airport to enhance its beauty.

It is therefore unnecessary, and even counterproductive, to stir up tribal sentiment over this matter. At a time when other nations are focused on advancing collective interests and building stronger societies, it is disheartening to see us embroiled in disputes that divide rather than unite. A gesture of recognition costs little but speaks volumes about who we are as a people.
