Sorry sis. This is no fault of yours. I had wanted you to go rent your own place and give them space,but that could destroy your marriage and the family at large. I've got some plans to share with you. Firstly, stop thinking of her as your sister-inlaw. See her as your own sister who is staying with you for a while. Secondly, live in that house as if you were the mother of everybody including your husband. Employ the power of silence. That motherly silence a woman uses in correcting her kids. Don't complain again. Don't frown. Don't transfer her anger on your kids either. Limit your conservations with your husband. Smile often. Remember this, "ignorant people don't know they are ignorant". You can go to your mother for some weeks if possible;if it won't affect your work. Let them miss your presence in your absence. Before you leave, do the house chores with a smile on your face. Wash her clothes if possible. Your husband will feel this emptiness in your absence. Your marriage matters.

Just move out with your kids and leave the house for them. But before that threaten your husband to get his sister a separate home for her and her kids or you rather leave with your kids. If he does not bother about your threat move out and make sure you take him to the appropriate authority if he fails to care for his children to compel him take responsibility. Your peace of mind is important. But if you think your marriage is more important then shut up and learn to cope with them.

I think you're right. She has a tough situation. Her sister-in-law must have been a very bad lady in her marriage. For her husband to neglect her and their kids this much, she must have committed some serious blunder.
