  I would have agreed with the court's ruling if the marriage was a traditional marriage that required the court to lean on customary traditions for holding funerals. This was a civil marriage between Serwaa and Lumba in Germany, and the court should have looked into whether there was a will setting specific funeral requirements designating a specific person to be in charge of funeral arrangements. Absent a will designating such, the next of kin is the legal surviving spouse, and that surviving spouse should be entitled to decide funeral arrangements for her late husband.

Now Lumba made it big in Ghana and here she appears with her marriage certificate after 17 years to claim everything from her customary responsible wife and family. What a wicked woman Akosua Serwaah is.
