When one is aware o the chaos that will likely take place upon one's death, chaos caused by the one, the responsible thing to have done would have been to take steps to ensure that such chaos doesn't place instead of singing about it. That's what a responsible person would do if they really cared about their spouses and children that they'll be leaving behind instead of leaving them holding a bucket full of chaos that was not of their doing.

All the controversy Daddy Lumba left behind was not because of his greatness as a musician but rather due to shortcomings in his private life. We can argue that like most prominent men he was much more susceptible to temptation because of the easy availability of women ready to jump into bed with him. Sadly, few men with a high profile have the discipline to commit to one life partner. He was a musician without equal in his genre, but he made some bad or poor choices in life which are now impacting his children, his mistresses and wife very negatively. On the other hand, there are also many great men whose lives were “messy” whose departure from this world was not mired in controversy.
The most important thing we ought to remember about Daddy Lumba is his contribution to Ghana and the world. He enriched the lives of countless Ghanaians through his music.
The best tribute we can give him is to help his children to move forward and achieve great things in their own lives. They can learn from their dad’s Perseverance, Tenacity, Focus, Hard work and Dedication to his profession and REPLICATE IT IN THEIR OWN LIVES IN TERMS OF THEIR CHOSEN CAREERS AS WELL AS IN THEIR MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS.
