Ghana is a multi-faith nation, and we thank the God of Heaven for the peace we enjoy. We must never ever take this peace and tranquillity we have for granted. We only have to lift our eyes and survey other parts of the world, and we are confronted by levels of mind-boggling hatred, animosity and acts of great cruelty perpetrated between followers of different religions that probably makes God regret creating humans.
There are at least four ethnic groups and races and as many religious adherents in the nation state of Singapore yet that nation that began in many ways like Ghana has managed to maintain a unity of purpose despite their diverse ethnicity and religious beliefs. Today it is one of the world’s most advanced societies far ahead many developed western countries. We can learn a lot from their example.
