  You people should be educated a bit. His mother(like he said) is from Ghana. I guess they went to the family in Akuapem region where he was given a Ghanaian name(I stand to be corrected) but regardless, so long as one of his parents is from Ghana and Holds Ghanaian citizenship, Automatically, he can apply for one. Ministry of foreign affairs does not even come in. Then there is what the government gives after satisfying certain conditions. The point is, he is Ghanaian through the mother side so he has nothing to explain. The government did not give it out cheaply, it was his right period.
