Tourism minister should be someone who is business minded, innovative and has the potential to see avenues to generate resources for the state through tourism. Look at the state of the Independence Arch and its surroundings in Accra.The grasses are dry and not well maintained, the water fountain is not working, there are no beautiful flowers planted in the area and the place has become a market place with vendors all over. Furthermore, there are no toilet facilities anywhere nearby for tourists. In short the tourism minister thinks fostering tourism is all dancing in front of tourists at the airport.
