Rap Fada clashes with DJ on live radio

Ghanaian musician Rap Fada was involved in a heated exchange with a DJ during a live radio appearance on Max FM after the DJ played songs from other artistes while the musician was seated in the studio for an interview.

In a video circulating on social media, Rap Fada can be seen engaging in a verbal altercation with the DJ, questioning why songs from other artistes were being played even though he was already present in the studio and his own music had not been played.

The musician expressed dissatisfaction with the situation, arguing that it was professionally inappropriate for a DJ to continue playing songs from other artistes while an invited guest, who is also a musician, was seated in the studio awaiting his interview.

However, the DJ defended his actions, explaining that he had only been informed about Rap Fada’s appearance on the show roughly 20 minutes before the artiste arrived at the station.

According to him, the late notice made it difficult to immediately adjust the playlist before the interview began.

During the exchange, the DJ told Rap Fada that if he had concerns about how the show was being handled, he should address the individual who invited him onto the programme instead of confronting the DJ.

The DJ insisted that he was simply doing his job and that the musician should not disrespect a DJ while on duty.

Rap Fada, however, rejected the suggestion that he had been disrespectful. He clarified that his concern was purely about professionalism and what he believed to be the correct approach when a musician visits a radio station for promotion.

According to him, regardless of when the DJ was informed about his appearance, the proper course of action would have been to play at least one of his songs once he arrived in the studio.

“Even if you’re informed two minutes ago, you should have done what you were supposed to do before I got here,” Rap Fada stated.

The disagreement continued briefly, with both parties explaining their positions as tensions rose in the studio.

Eventually, other individuals present at the station intervened to calm the situation and restore order. After tempers cooled, Rap Fada’s interview on Max FM proceeded without further interruptions.
