Dancehall artiste Larruso has reacted to the collapse of a three-storey building that was being used as a church in Accra New Town, an incident that left several worshippers affected.

In a post shared on social media, the artiste expressed sadness over the tragedy and extended his support to those impacted.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred in New Town involving the collapse of a building. My heart go out to all individuals and families affected during this incredibly difficult time. Sending you love and prayers,” Larruso wrote.

Accra New Town Building Collapse: What we know so far

Minister of Interior Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has confirmed that three people lost their lives following the collapse.

The deceased include two women and one man, though their identities have not yet been established.

The incident occurred on March 29, 2026 at an uncompleted three-storey structure located within the premises of the Accra New Town Experimental Basic School, a site also used by Christian worshippers.

According to the Minister, a total of 23 people were present at the scene when the collapse happened.

“What we can say is that there was a total of 23 people. Unfortunately, we’ve lost three - a male and two females. They’re not able to tell names for now,” he noted.
