Black Sherif is an award-winning Ghanaian musician
Ghanaian music superstar Black Sherif has revealed that he has been contemplating enlisting in the military and go through the full rigors of training like any ordinary Ghanaian recruit.
Speaking in a candid interview with veteran broadcaster Kafui Dey, the "Second Sermon" hitmaker said the desire even came upon him just weeks ago.
"Sometime two weeks ago, I wanted to join the army. I felt like, for some reason, it would bring something out of me. I don't want any protocol; I want to go through the training and everything," he said.

Black Sherif explained that the desire stemmed from an epiphany he experienced around his 24th birthday and a sudden awareness that a single lifetime was enough to pursue virtually anything he set his mind to.
"I had an epiphany during my 24th birthday that I can actually be everything. It's just one lifetime. So many things came to my mind; I wanted to do everything and still be me," he said.
The revelation has surprised many fans of the Kumasi-born artist, who has risen rapidly to become one of Ghana and Africa's most celebrated music exports.
