Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia
A court has dismissed the erectile dysfunction battle between Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia.
Per TMZ, Guobadia filed the lawsuit against Williams in 2024, but court documents indicate that a Georgia judge has since approved his request to drop the case.
Though the judge ultimately dismissed the case, he sent out a word of caution, stating that Guobadia will cover Williams’ legal expenses if he attempts to refile the lawsuit.
The case between the former couple came after Williams took to social media to share posts about erectile dysfunction. Guobadia, in his lawsuit against Williams, claimed that his ex-wife was referring to him in her social media posts.
Guobadia claimed that the posts had dented his reputation and asked the court to award him damages. But Williams stated that she wasn’t talking about Guobadia.
Guobadia, who is Nigerian, initially asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit, as he could not show up for the trial because of his 2025 deportation from the United States. And though Williams also gave the green light for the lawsuit to be dismissed, she asked the court to order Guobadia to cover her expenses for the case.
Though the case between the former couple has been dismissed, Guobadia told TMZ in a statement that “this matter is far from over.”
“A dismissal without prejudice means I retain the full legal right to refile the same claims against Porsha Williams at a future date. No court has ruled that my claims were invalid or without merit,” Guobadia stated.
He continued: “This is fundamentally different from what Porsha Williams’ legal team was pushing for, a dismissal with prejudice, which would have permanently barred me from refiling and would have represented a definitive legal victory for her. That request was denied. So was her request for attorney’s fees. She did not walk away with the legal vindication her team was seeking.”
“I want to be clear that this matter is far from over. I am currently conferring with my legal team regarding whether to refile the case within the time limit granted by the court,” he added. “Porsha Williams and her representatives should not mistake my voluntary dismissal for an abandonment of my legal rights or the merits of my claims.”
