MC Yaa Yeboah has weighed in on Afua Asantewaa's marital issues
Entertainment enthusiast MC Yaa Yeboah has weighed in on the ongoing dispute between Afua Asantewaa and her husband.
She has criticised the Guinness World Record contender’s approach to handling her marital issues.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Yaa Yeboah acknowledged Afua’s right to express frustration but argued that escalating private matters on social media is inappropriate.
She emphasised that, regardless of the challenges in the marriage, Afua’s husband remains the father of her three children and should not be publicly disrespected.
MC Yeboah further noted that Afua could have addressed the matter in a single letter, as she eventually did, instead of giving social media the mandate to drag her private life into the public domain.
'My husband and I are currently separated' - Afua Asantewaa discloses
“People will not shut up because you have given them access. They will swipe and swipe, they won’t stop. As smart and intelligent as you are, you knew there was a letter you could have written to address everything, but you chose to open up and express on social media. No one has said you should vent, but who are you talking to?
“The people you chose to open up to, they don’t care, and that is the harsh reality. Why would you make the father of your three children look like a nobody, and that does not embarrass the man, but rather says a lot about you as a woman; it is very disrespectful,” she said
She added that social media is not a place to vent out frustration, especially a sensitive one, such as marital disputes, because the outcome is always going to be bad.
