'Work hard and settle with a good woman' - Rev Obofour advises young men

Ghanaian preacher Kwaku Agyei Antwi, popularly known as Rev Obofour, has offered advice to young men on how to carefully choose a life partner and plan their lives.

In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on April 7, 2026, Rev Obofour urged young men to be strategic in how they live and make decisions about their future.

According to him, men must work hard to build a stable life to enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful intimate relationship.

He added that experiences in guest houses and hotels do not reflect ideal relationships.

“If you want to grow old, you have to hustle and make money so that a good woman can give you a fulfilling relationship. What you experience in movie houses and guest houses is not enjoyable, even though you may think that it is ideal.

“You are not truly enjoying that, which is why family planning is important. If it is not done properly, it can affect a woman’s health, including her menstrual cycle. As a man, you have to plan your life well. If you are not ready to leave a certain lifestyle, don’t start something that will affect your future,” he said.

Rev Obofour further advised young men to be mindful of the kind of women they associate with.

According to him, some relationships can be damaging, and distancing oneself from such situations can help avoid embarrassment.

“If you don’t plan your life properly and you live recklessly, you will regret it. If you notice any woman who may publicly embarrass you, it is better to walk away.

“Also, if you believe having many children will become a burden, consider limiting it because school fees are expensive. Practise proper family planning,” he added.
