Ghanaian singer Camidoh has opened up about the challenges of building trust within the music industry, revealing why he often keeps his personal struggles to himself.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on April 7, 2026, Camidoh disclosed that past experiences have made it difficult for him to confide in people.

According to the artiste, he has encountered situations where individuals he trusted ended up sharing his private issues with others, sometimes twisting the narrative.

“It’s been so many times that I had issues, and I found it very difficult to share with someone. That’s because I feel people are not genuine. People actually have two faces, and it's hard to really find a friend in the industry,” he said.

He explained that such betrayals have occurred repeatedly, making him more guarded in his relationships.

“You would talk to someone, and the person will go and talk to those they call their friends. They would dissect it and make you look stupid. It has happened a lot of times, so the best thing is to keep to yourself,” he stated.

While acknowledging that there are still a few people he trusts, the singer emphasised that, in most cases, it is safer to remain private and seek spiritual support instead.

“You can pray to God about it. I’m not saying I don’t trust at all; there are people I trust, but I just want to highlight the fact that most of the time, it's not real. Keep everything to yourself,” he noted.

Camidoh also disclosed that his mother plays a significant role in his life, especially during important moments in his career.

“I would call my mother and tell her to pray for me, especially when I’m about to release a new song. She would sometimes call to check if I’ve eaten or I’m okay,” he added.
