If a man or woman courting someone discovers that they are constantly having to "row the boat" alone whether financially or emotionally then they are on a trip to hell if they marry that person. If the only way you can hold on to the person you are in a relationship is by constantly pampering them ,lavishing your time and money on them and in in the process spending a small fortune THEN YOU HAVE ALREADY EMBARKED ON A DANGEROUS ROAD WITH HELL AS THE FINAL DESTINATION. Make no mistake about it- such a person will continue to make outrageous demands on you eventually leading you to emotional, mental and financial exhaustion and inevitably the collapse of your marriage or even your death. As our American friends like to put it "IT REALLY AIN'T WORTH IT"
A PERSON'S CHARACTER IS EVERYTHING; AND CHARACTER DEPENDS ON THEIR CORE BELIEFS AND VALUES. But here is the problem, to be able to be a good judge of character and make good choices your own belief and values must be sound or healthy. WHAT DO YOU BELEIEVE IN? WHAT DO YOU VALUE?
Do you believe in the sanctity of marriage and therefore likely to be faithful to your spouse? Are you considerate and respectful rather than self-centred and selfish? Are you gentle, kind and truthful or are your rude, demanding, will lie to get your way and lack basic honesty and integrity. We must ask these fundamental questions because marriage is a relationship that requires a serious investment in time and effort before it yields the priceless rewards of peace, tranquillity and companionship. Marriage is not a sprint but a marathon with many bumps and pot holes along the way but those who persevere and work at it will receive the crown, not only at the end but more importantly will accrue and gather rewards along the way.
THE WISEST SOULS ARE THOSE WHO INVITE GOD INTO THEIR OWN LIVES,WHO GIVE HM FIRST PLACE IN THEIR OWN LIVES AND WHO TRUE OBEDIENCE TO GODLY PRINCIPLES ARE EQUIPPED TO MAKE THE MOST IMPORTANT CHOICES IN LIFE INCLUDING THAT OF MARRIAGE.
