Nobody opens a roadside store stocks it with goods and then sits down and folds their hands and then expects the business to become profitable automatically. Rather they invest a lot of time and energy into making it very successful. They will keep constantly restocking the store, while finding out what people really want to buy and what they don't want and then making changes to their stocks. If a store owner is entrepreneurial, they will save early profits and reinvest them to make the business grow bigger and more attractive to customers. Foolish store owners will start a spending spree once the profits start rolling in and they will fail to make the business grow. Wise store owners who want to have a successful business will work very hard to make their store more attractive than that of rivals. Discerning storekeepers keep a close watch over their business and know when business sentiment is beginning to change and make appropriate course corrections.
